Our School Values:

We wanted to inspire our children to seize opportunities and face challenges that cross their path. We asked everyone to have their say about our values. By working together we know how we can strive to abide by our school values. 

COURAGE is:

• Resilience: Bouncing back from challenges and not giving up.

• Persistence: Keeping on trying, even when things are tough.

• Independence: Trying things on our own and being self-reliant.
• Positivity: Maintaining a positive attitude and looking on the bright side. Appreciate the good things. 

BRILLIANCE is:

• Excellence: Always trying our best and striving for high standards.
• Creativity: Thinking of new ideas and being imaginative.
• Responsibility: Taking care of our duties and being accountable for our actions.
• Participation: Getting involved and contributing in class and around the school.

KINDNESS is:

• Respect: Treating others the way we want to be treated and valuing differences.
• Politeness: Using good manners and showing courtesy to everyone. 
• Honesty: Telling the truth and being trustworthy.
• Good Citizenship: Helping others, following rules, and making our community a better place

Our School Aims:

The core purpose and aims for Ysgol Bryn Hedydd is to provide the best educational experience for every child together with outstanding achievement. This will be achieved by engaging in learning opportunities that develop, stretch and excite the imagination. We learn by trying, failing, learning from this and trying again. Our intentions are for every child to leave Ysgol Bryn Hedydd with the six aims:

• Able to WRITE creatively 
• Able to do MATHS with confidence
• BEHAVE well at all times 
• Speak CONFIDENTLY to adults and peers
• Show RESILIENCE in all aspects of our lives
